Special Interest – VET TECHNOLOGISTS

New Zealand’s first ever class of Vet Technologists are about to graduate and enter the work force after studying this extensive degree for three years.

Emma

Emma is graduating with a Bachelor of Vet Technology in November from Massey University. Emma also has a Bachelor of Science with a major in Animal Science and a background in customer service. Emma is looking for a position in a progressive small animal clinic where she can utilise her skills and training to its full potential. She is looking to work in Auckland and is enthusiastic, motivated and friendly. Emma is a lovely girl who is very passionate about promoting the Vet Technologist degree.

Patrice

Patrice had a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and is about to finished her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology in Equine. Over the past three years, Patrice and come familiar with and passionate about all aspects of veterinary practice, and she has a strong interested in all aspects of equine, anaesthesia, foal neo-natal care, large animal practice and small animal critical care. Patrice has performed work placements and was also privileged to receive a summer studentship at Massey University spending 12 weeks assisting with neuroresearch, looking at astrocyte reactivity in conjunction with Alzheimer’s disease. Patrice also assisted a PhD student who was investigating positive emotions in horses. Patrice is now looking for a full time permanent position in an Equine clinic.
